Antoine Vandewoude is a self-taught designer with a love of ceramics and improvisation. His designs have found their way to the homes of prominent clients from the fashion and art world. Pique-Fleurs, his new collection for Serax, consists of pique fleurs (vases) and a candlestick. Each object is an ode to chance and imperfection, with an organic, whimsical shape in vibrant, deep red. Also called sang de boeuf, this hue was praised in ancient China for its complex production process. The candlestick is a variation on the pique fleur and combines beautifully with it. Candles and flowers always go nicely together.
